FUCK!
I am so fucking sick of my parents!
I had to quit dancing last year because of homework. My parents won’t let me leave the house to walk around because they think 16 years old is too young to walk by yourself.
Unfortunately I’m starting to gain weight in the lower half of my body.
They give me WAYYY too much food to eat. And I HAVE to eat it. If I don’t eat it all mum sits next to me and stares and tells me to eat it. Even if I start crying, saying that I can’t eat anymore. It’s a never ending fucking cycle and I can see my body slowly putting on the pounds. I’ve gone up two jean sizes!
I am sick of it. I cry every night because I can feel myself getting bigger every month, and I hate the feeling. I don’t want to be fat. I really don’t. :[
So can somebody help me out here?!!? What do I do!??! I was thinking of getting something like an indoor excercise bike, would that help?!
Thanks in advance…
It’s not anorexia. When I began speculating it, I asked my closest friends for their opinions to make sure it’s not just me. They’ve noticed it too. :/
I’m not anorexic. My body cannot cope with this much food. When I say I chuck, I’m not FORCING myself to chuck. It’s my BODY forcing me to chuck. I physically cannot eat how much they’re giving me. And I’ve asked my closest friends if I’ve gone up in size and they agreed that my body is slowly changing. Which sucks.
I haven’t had a history of anorexia. What’s a clergy?
buy a jump rope and use it. that is an effective way to lose weight. and more importantly, ask your parents if they want to kill you by stuffing too much food in your body. they should know that over eating brings a number of health problems.
strange attitude for a parent..

I have a new custom bike made of Dura-Ace components and looking for an indoor trainer for this bike. Never had one before. Can you tell me some of your ideas and why you like them?
For example: Tacx Satori Cycle Trainer – T1850
or Cycle-Ops magneto trainer
or anything from REI?
Are there ones that let you shift the gears of your bike directly?
Thx 4 Ur help!
I prefer the CycleOps fluid trainer. It is the quietest and provides the most consistent resistance. They are good to use when you don’t have a lot of time to ride outdoors (60 minutes on the trainer is equivalent to 90 minutes out doors), when the weather is bad or if you want to do a low intensity recovery ride.

Unlike the Magnetic Stationary Bikes, the Indoor Cycling Bike can provide you with a more traditional feel of a conventional bike by using old fashion chain resistance against a stationary wheel. However, the Indoor Cycling Bike does retain the ability to precisely control the tension level of your bike, giving you versatile options for your workouts.

Indoor triathlons use stationary bikes but how is this fair since they don’t take into account the load one would be hauling like a normal bike. For example if someone 100 lbs and someone 200 lbs both generated the same amount of power/output they would have the same distance on a stationary bike whereas on a real bike the 100 pounder would go much further. How does this work also does everyone have the bike set to an identical resistance level? Lastly some indoor triathlons just give you say 30 minutes in each discipline and then calculate total milage this seems incredibly unfair to good swimmers. If you are twice as good as me at swimming and swim 1 mile in the 30 mins and I only swim .5 miles but in biking I am twice as good and bike 16 miles to your 8 miles our total distances would be 16.5 miles to 9 miles. This system seems to heavily reward those who excel at cycling.

Yes, this is a classic race situation of time and distance….. mano y mano. It is not designed to be ultimately ‘fair’. It is just a contest. Don’t over think it!
As for resistance. each rider, at any given weight or size chooses a gear that fits their cadences and resistance needs. I choose a high spin rate and moderate pedal pressure. You may choose a lower spin rate and a ton of pedal resistance. You are pushing a much higher gear, and theoratically can go much faster than me…. wanna bet who will be faster and who will go further in one hour?

Cycle shoes – for indoor AND outdoor?
I’m a newb cyclist – I need a bike shoe for road rides (NOT mountain) and indoor rides and spin class… Help? I’m female and can’t spend over $65.00
This shoe should fit the bill, provided you have spd clipless pedals. This is a touring shoe, not just a mountain shoe.
http://bike.shimano.com/publish/content/global_cycle/en/us/index/products/shoes/road/product.-code-SH-MT60.-type-.html
Any shoe that accepts spd cleats will do, but these should fit your budget. If you want something more road bike specific, you better shop your local bike shops for on sale items. $65.00 is low for road specific shoes.
If you ride regular platform pedals, buy your favorite walking shoes.

I am a female, 19 years old, 5′9" (175cm) and I weigh 135 pounds (62kg). I am starting an exercise routine again to get a firmer and more toned body.
So I’ve started eating healthily, i know all about that… but I just want to know if what I want to do with exercise will be good?
Mondays – gym for an hour = 45 minutes of mixed cardio (rowing machine, bike, treadmill etc) and 15 minutes of weight machine stuff for my arms. Maybe a 45mins-1hr walk later on with boyfriend.
Tuesdays and Thursdays – walk for 45mins-1hr with boyf, and do 30 mins of cycle a bit later on.
Wednesdays – half an hour of cardio in the morning followed by 15 minutes of weight machine stuff.
Fridays – 30 minutes on an indoor cycle
Saturday – 1hr intense cardio class, 1hr yogalataichi (yoga, pilates, tai chi mixed together) class.
Sunday – maybe a fun/non serious game of tennis with my boyfriend, or play around in the pool for an hour.
what do you think could be improved or changed about this routine?
i’m hoping to stick to it for at least three weeks… do you think i’ll see some results by then?
If you want a more toned body, I would suggest increasing the amount of time you spend on the weightlifting machines.
Make your routine fun for 3 weeks, but then you need to switch it up otherwise your body will plateau.
