I build muscle quite quickely, i want to loose fat but tone muscle rather than build it up! should i exercise gently i.e. 40 min walk everyday or intense exercise i.e. spin classes!!!???
ok should have added im active, i play football, im bout a UK 10-12 so not over weight, football is off at min pitch problems!?? but i’v big legs! mostly muscle but they’re too big! want leaner muscle and to take off a layer of puppy fat!
To burn fat, it really doesn’t matter. All that matters is how many cals you expend vs how many you take in. Not a factor of time or intensity.
To tone muscle rather than build, moderate level exercises should do the trick. Walking is low level. Spinning, jogging, stair climbing is moderate.

Sometimes when I exercise, I feel groggy and like my head is spinning the next day. I actually feel like I have a hangover. I don’t understand why this is… do you?
Part of what causes hangovers is dehydration. Perhaps you should drink more fluids before, after, and during.

You know every time Gordon Brown opens his mouth of late and gives us one of his pearls of wisdom, I ask myself what is he covering up.
Anyway views on the joyful news ta.
I think it’s just been used to distract.
Swimming is but one exercise. I like to play badminton. I’m not over keen on swimming, I get bored with it. I like to go the gym. Or go hiking with a group. Are those going to be free?

I’ve been taking spinning classes for over a few weeks now the classes are over and hour long and you get very sweaty. I generally wear tight fitting pants due to the nature of the class and intensity however a little over a week ago I began to feel the signs of a yeast infection..however they are extremely mild can exercise be the cause?
It’s not the exercise itself, but the tight clothes and moisture and heat from working up a sweat. That and the slight friction when you’re sitting on the bike seat. I imagine the clothes you’re wearing are made of lycra or spandex blends of sorts. Try wearing cotton undies, and see if you can find a slim fitting but slightly looser cotton short to wear instead of the tight fitting pants, it will help with the possible yeast infections and discomfort.
If it’s a yeast infection, it will really burn and itch and get progressively worse without treatment. You’d also notice thick white discharge.
If it’s just heat rash or irritation from the sweat and tight clothes, it would likely subside once you’ve showered and dried off.
That being said, good for you for taking spin classes! I’m still working myself up to that level
hehe.

Spinning was created by world-class cyclist “Jonny G.” Goldberg as a convenient and quick way to train for races. In 1989, he and John Baudhuin opened the first spinning center in Santa Monica, California and then developed a program to certify other spinning instructors. Curious to know about this spinning thing? The following info will help you decide if it’s for you:
What is it? Spinning is an aerobic exercise that takes place on a specially designed stationary bicycle called a spinning bike. As you pedal, motivating music plays and the instructor talks you through a visualization of an outdoor cycling workout: “You’re going up a long hill now, you can’t see the top yet.” During the class you vary your pace — sometimes pedaling as fast as you can, other times cranking up the tension and pedaling slowly from a standing position. This helps you to focus inwardly and work on your mind as well as your body.

Will spinning classes help me get skinnier, more toned legs?
I signed up for a class at my university, and will be doing it for an hour, 5 times a week, together with playing tennis a couple of times a week, and weights for my upper body, and abs exercise. I haven’t been exercising for the past 8 months, and although my legs have naturally a nice shape, they’re quite puffy and fatty at the moment cause of the weight I gained. So will spinning do the trick? Or will I end up with soccer-layer legs? All I want is my skinny, lean, toned legs back. So then? 10 points are on the line. Thanks.
Well, exercising in general will help them lose the fattyness. The spin class will give you toned legs. I don’t think it will give you soccer legs.
