Is it better to do really intense exercise to burn fat or gradually build up your exercise??? ?

I build muscle quite quickely, i want to loose fat but tone muscle rather than build it up! should i exercise gently i.e. 40 min walk everyday or intense exercise i.e. spin classes!!!???
ok should have added im active, i play football, im bout a UK 10-12 so not over weight, football is off at min pitch problems!?? but i’v big legs! mostly muscle but they’re too big! want leaner muscle and to take off a layer of puppy fat!

To burn fat, it really doesn’t matter. All that matters is how many cals you expend vs how many you take in. Not a factor of time or intensity.

To tone muscle rather than build, moderate level exercises should do the trick. Walking is low level. Spinning, jogging, stair climbing is moderate.

If you’re inactive or overweight and you’re a beginner i would say go gradually at first because you won’t be capable of doing intense exercises right off that bat but other than that going intense is the best way to burn fat.
